LONG OVERDUE!

Okay, so I'm WAY behind on updates since we returned from Christmas in Vermont....
Happy 2010! Quinn was happy to return to the Beach, although we were bombarded with winter weather here too-more snow than this city could handle (not saying much, as even a dusting cancels schools a full day in advance!) but it didn't stop us from getting out to enjoy!
Funny that the Vermonter was probably the only one on the block that didn't rush out to buy a snow shovel or any supplies-I didn't really believe we'd actually get hit :)

Quinn continues to voice her independence, although, words are few and far between! She certainly makes her point with no problem....including pulling out her tutu, silver shoes and demanding to wear them-even when we're heading out the door :)
Funny, I don't even promote dress up, but she's all about trying on shoes-hmmm....Grammie Alford in the making?

She continues to LOVE Elmo-we had the opportunity to meet him, but turned shy and wanted Daddy closeby-

Quinn has been loving her story hour at the library-certainly not shy around her little buddies, she stands in the center of circle time and dances, claps her hands and spins around, while most of the other kids sit quietly with their mommies-Quinn is quite the little ham! I'm so glad Brent got to witness it a few weeks ago while I had a dentist apt.-I SO need to get a little video clip to share!

Yup, have started working with 'the potty,' but clearly you can see that it's more a novelty and for now a spot to sit while mommy reads-Aunt Missi will need to give me some training 101 in this department!

Clearly her favorite Valentine's gift was not the potty, but the GIANT teddy bear from Grammie-she loves any kind of stuffed animal and, in fact, greets anyone who comes to the door with a ducky, bear, monkey or something!

Daily exploring continues-Quinn loves to 'help' mommy make dinner-she can't contain herself a minute past 5pm and is literally pulling my leg to get dinner on the table for her or else watch a show, loves playing any type of ball-the latest is with the mini golf set-watch out Tiger! Soph continues to be her favorite pal, she puts her breakfast in her dish daily, even tries to hand feed her-always nice to have kibble rolling around every room of the house! Loves any stories -her favorite right now-Goodnight Gorilla. Coloring, play dough, crafts-at your own risk, as she mainly eats, chews everything at this point...
Has decided she doesn't like her highchair and steals my seat for every meal-we usually argue about sitting vice standing up, and, oh, yes, insists upon feeding herself (even soup-joy!)-I know, I just have to let it go...
Hmmmm-I think I've covered most of it, oh yes, dancing, spinning and 'taking a bow'-she is a huge Jack Johnson fan and can't get enough spinning around the living room!

Heading to Boston this weekend for a wedding and re-connecting with family! Quinn cannot wait to meet her cousin, Eme, who made the trek from China! We'll be spoiled when they come back to the Beach with us next week-can't wait!

Okay-a few recent pics and a promise to get better with updates-I hope!
