We had such a great trip home to Vermont-Quinn did great on her first BIG road trip-since we drove both ways in the middle of the night, she was a great sleeper! SO much fun reconnecting with her cousins-she was eager to catch up with them since she's now quickly crawling and pulling up on everything! Lily was a big helper-turning 2 last Sunday, she and Quinn will be great pals-can't wait to see them at Christmas together!
Although not as long as we would have liked (it always goes entirely too quickly) it was nice to catch up with family and old friends. We enjoyed days at the Proctor pool, a trip to Ft. Ticonderoga to take in some history, and Brent and his dad were able to fit in a long hike! Wish we were all closer, as these trips home seem few and far between-can't wait for the Holidays!!!
Brooke made the trek from Philly to be with us the last weekend-Quinn always loves her Auntie Brooke!!! Grammie loves to find the matching outfits-Garnet Hill is always a fav!
Congrats to Kevin on his new job-the Vests celebrate on the big move to New Haven!
Check out the clips below-Quinn couldn't get enough of her crazy Poppy, making her crack up! Also LOVED the Proctor pool-she will really enjoy swimming lessons this Fall!
SO behind on this blog...it's amazing how quickly time is flying by! SO...Quinn is officially on the GO and there is no stopping her now! She had been on the brink of crawling since the last post and she mastered her moves over July 4th weekend! All along Sophie and whatever toys she has seem to always be the motivating factor! Check out the video clips below~
Had a fabulous July 4th-celebrating with Tolin-a playgroup buddy's big First birthday, followed by a BBQ and relaxing on the beach! It was actually fabulous weather down here too-not too humid. Although Quinn didn't make it thru for fireworks, Brent and I lounged on the deck and enjoyed the blasts from good 'ol Ocean Lakes-amazing what families spend on fireworks in the South :) we didn't even need to leave our property to see quite a display on all sides!
Quinn has become quite the beach baby-she LOVES the ocean waves and it is a sure way to ensure a nap in the car on the way home every time! Oh yes, backing up to Daddy's very first Father's Day...Quinn picked out his very own leaf blower-something he has been hoping for for a very LONG time. She knew he would be thrilled with it! We had a nice day celebrating the occassion with friends Mark, Kate & Hakon for brunch. Also spent part of the weekend at the zoo-another favorite spot for Quinn and now she is really noticing all the animals-zebras and giraffes are the top attractions!
Lastly-yes, our daughter (still the insomniac) has pushed bedtime to the all time latest hour-10pm for most of the past few weeks...here she is above in her perfect spot-nestled between pillows on Mommy & Daddy's bed while she enjoys Baby Mozart on 'repeat' until she passes out (we are done fighting it!) I hope now that she is 'on the go' she'll be passing out slightly early as time goes on :)
Can't wait for our visit to Vermont at the end of the week-lots of catching up to do with family and we can hardly wait for the Proctor Pool!!!!
Daily Life with Brent, Stacie, Soph & 'Baby J' on the way!!!
So... with this pregnancy in full swing (now 20 weeks!) I've been convinced to join the craze and begin a Jaquith blog to keep friends and family up-to-date on our 'growing' news and goings-on in VA Beach-hope you'll enjoy! We have passed the halfway point on Brent's deployment (yes, he's gone for 7 months for those who missed that piece of news) and in less than 2 weeks I'll travel to Dubai to finally meet up with him and show off my preggo bump! Our new addition will arrive about a month after his return on November 8th! Sorry, but we'll keep the sex a surprise-so take your best guess on what we're having. This will be the tie-breaker baby on the Z-side, already 2 boys and 2 girl grandkids... I hope this blog will keep us connected with friends and family that are spread across the map-we miss you all and hope this will help us remain in touch!
